As a milk-shake machine salesman, Raymond Kroc routinely paid visits to clients. Anything but routine when he visited 2 of his biggest client in southern California, Maurice and Richard McDonald.
While most restaurant than bought 1 or 2 Prince Castle multi-mixers, which could mix 5 shakes at once, the Mc purchased 8, and Kroc was curious to witness what sort of operation required the capacity to churn 40 milkshakes at one time. What he saw changed his life, he watched the male crew, clad in white paper hats and white uniforms, hustle about the squeaky clean restaurant dishing out burgers, fries, and shakes to the working class families that drove up. The McDonald brothers brought efficiency to a slap-dash business. They offered a 9 item menu- burgers, fries, shakes and pies, eliminated seating and used paper and plastic utensils instead of glass and china. The Mc had devised the rudiments of a hamburger assembly line so that they could deliver orders in less than 60 seconds. The prices were remarkably low!
Raymond persuaded and cut a deal with the brothers: Kroc would sell McDonald’s franchises for the price of $950; in exchange he will get to keep 1.4% of all sales and channel 0.5% back to them. Because franchisees kicked back such a meager percentage of total sales, just 1.9 percent, the corporate parent made very little money.
This arrangement was far more advantageous to the Mc’s than to Kroc, for that small slice of revenues would have account for Kroc’s overhead and marketing costs and profits. But it was the act of a desperate man. Kroc made 12k a year from mulit-mixer sales and it was marked for extinction due to heavy competition from another brand. Too old to start again from scratch, the middle-aged salesman believed the comfortable existence he and his wife, Ethel, would vanish if this venture failed. “If I lost out on McDonald’s, I will have no place to go,” He said.

Ray Kroc part 1
In 1954, Ray Kroc was 52 year old milk shake machine salesman, saw a hamburger stand in San Bernardino California, and envisioned a massive new industry: Fast Food. He revolutionized the American restaurant industry by imposing discipline on the production of hamburgers, French fries, and milk shakes. By developing a sophisticated operation and delivery system, he insured that the French fries customers bought in Topeka would be the same as ones purchased in San Diego. Such consistency made it the brand that defined American Fast Food.
His is quite a long story, i will try to summarize it soon and you guys can enjoy the whole story!

The reasons behind those questions!
The rationale among these questions is extremely simple, if you want to get from point A to point B, how do you go about it? You simply go straight ahead. If probably you are an extremely intelligent person and you go about trying to set up your business, you might have a detail planning on how to go about it. Maybe once you face a potential obstacle during the planning, coming up with the best solutions to solve it will be it. What if one cannot come up with the solutions, one might just give up and abandon the whole plan?
I believe that successful businessman; they sure do a bit of planning and get their hands on it. They don’t want to think so much of the obstacle until they face it, after which, just go around it, jump over it, climb or crawl underneath it until they finally solve it.
Just Do It!

The answers!
How do you put a giraffe into a refrigerator?
Ans: You open up the refrigerator door, put the giraffe in and close the door!
How do you put an elephant into the refrigerator?
Ans: you open up the refrigerator door; take up the giraffe and than put the elephant in.
The lion king is hosting an animal conference. All of the animals attend the animal conference, except one. Which animal does not attend?
Ans: The elephant, because it’s still inside the refrigerator.
You have to cross a river. The river is used by dangerous crocodiles. You do not have a boat. How do you manage it?
Ans: Just swim across the river as all of them are over at the animal conference which includes the crocodiles.
Think about the reasoning behind these answers!

Some questions for ya to answer!
Spend a moment with yourself answering the questions I have line up for you guys, it’s very interesting at the end, the rationale behind doing this. It might look dumb, because that’s how I find it first, the later part, it makes sense to me.

followed up of Richard Branson!
He went to the gents, sit on the toilet bowl and sob and whine about it. LOL hell no. That’s not what happened; Richard made a few calls to charter companies, did his maths and agreed to charter a plane for $2,000 to Puerto Rico. Borrowed a blackboard and wrote VIRGIN AIRWAYS: $39 SINGLE FLIGHT TO PUERTO RICO, walked around the airport compound which he soon filled very seat on the charter plane.
The moral of the story I have is, whenever one bang onto any obstacles in life, fret not, sit back and come up with a few solutions rather than do something which time wasting and meaningless, think differently from the rest!

Richard Branson
You people have definitely heard of Richard Branson, Yes, No? The last time I remembered he was in Singapore, he was here to get Virgin Mobile and Virgin Coke running, to be a direct competitor to the different mobiles provider in Singapore. Virgin coke to take on the giants of Coke Cola and Pepsi, which all didn’t really take off.
I’m here to give a story about how he first started his airline Virgin Airways. It was during his stay over at Beef Island, he was trying to catch a flight to Puerto Rico and his flight was cancelled, the airport terminal was full of stranded passengers. Now what would you guys have done if you happen to be in the same situation as him?
Sit back, relax and wait for a miracle to happen? Complained to anyone who cares to listen? Think about it and I will post up what happened shortly.
